My Story

I’ve always had a passion for hair—going all the way back to my Barbie days!  As I got older, I became the go-to person for hair extensions and quick styles for family and friends.

In 2008, I started doing hair as a way to earn extra income. Since I was great at sew-in weaves and genuinely loved doing them, it was the perfect side hustle. I specialized in flat, natural-looking full sew-in weaves and offered affordable services to help women achieve beautiful, long-lasting styles.

Around that time, I also decided to ditch relaxers and fully embrace my 4C natural hair. I made the switch from sew-ins to wigs as my go-to protective style.

The problem? Finding high-quality wigs I actually loved. So, I decided to learn how to make my own. After perfecting my craft, I started offering custom wig services to clients, then expanded online—creating wigs for women all over the U.S.

Around 2015–2016, crochet braids became super popular, and I knew they were a game changer. The hair was affordable, and I could create so many different looks! I started offering crochet braid installs, and it quickly became one of my most requested services.

But there was one issue—keeping crochet braids looking fresh for longer. That’s when I had an idea… what if I could turn crochet styles into wigs?

After lots of practice (and trial and error!), I mastered the process. I was proud of my first crochet wig, but I knew exactly how to make it even better. Over time, I refined my technique and fell in love with making crochet wigs.
